Believers Church's Homes of Hope for Street Children

Metropolitan Dr. KP Yohannan

Dr. KP Yohannan, Metropolitan of Believers Church, is deeply concerned for the millions of suffering children across the world.

“Children in underdeveloped countries are often the victims of cruel exploitation of various kinds,” explains Dr. KP Yohannan, Metropolitan in his book, No Longer a Slumdog. “Those who end up on the streets are quickly picked up…and forced into a begging ring or other hard labor.”

Metropolitan, Dr. KP Yohannan’s desire is to be “a part of rescuing these boys and girls from a future of being blinded, maimed, disfigured or forced into the life of a street beggar.” Providing homes to street children through Asha Grih is one of the ways that Believers Church is fulfilling this goal.

Bridge of Hope is another childcare project initiated by Metropolitan, Dr. KP Yohannan, which now brings hope to tens of thousands of children. His vision is to expand the project to help 500,000 children in need.
